We are seeking a talented and innovative qualified teacher to join our school as the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo). You will be committed to ensuring high standards of achievement and progress for all children in our school, regardless of starting point, background, SEND status or other barriers to learning and/or wellbeing. The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) will hold specific responsibility for the leadership of all aspects of SEND within the school, working with Senior Leaders, teachers, support staff, families, Governors and Trustees to ensure high standards and best practice.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified teacher status

  • Experience of teaching children with additional needs in a classroom setting

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Good understanding of SEND Code of Practice

  • Good understanding of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

  • Commitment to inclusion and belief in the potential of every child
