What skills and experience we're looking for

St Vincent’s is a friendly and inclusive one form entry primary academy in the Archdiocese of Southwark. We have a strong Catholic ethos with the aim of helping our children deepen their faith and grow in the love of God. As part of the St Oscar Romero Catholic Academy Trust, we have a shared goal of providing outstanding Catholic education for children in our care.

We are looking to recruit a SENCo / Class Teacher for September 2026

This role can be 3 days a week SENCo or full time combined with two days in class.

As SENCo, you will:

Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure tailored support for each child

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision across the school

Support and guide colleagues in delivering inclusive, high-quality teaching

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willing to complete training)

Has a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice

Demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills

Is compassionate, organised, and driven to make a difference
