This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to contribute to the continued success of the school’s Specialist Provision which opened in September 2020.
Our specialist provision is for EYFS and KS1 pupils who have an EHCP with wide-ranging complex needs. You will work closely with the existing staff team at Burton End, the Director of SEND and staff across the schools in the trust’s specialist hubs and through your expertise provide the education and support pupils with significant special needs require to flourish.
Our specialist hub known as ‘Explorers’ supports twelve pupils with complex SEND needs to access appropriate provision that is inclusive within the communities they live. We are committed to a joined up all-through approach to support the children in our academies and beyond, providing high quality tailored specialist provision and supporting their families.
Our schools work in close partnership as a family of schools who share the same inclusive philosophy, where every child is a valued member of the school community. We believe that every child has the right to achieve their full potential and every family can expect to be supported to enable the home and school partnership to flourish. We have aspirational and high expectations for children with SEND and believe in providing a bespoke curriculum to meet children’s needs.
Unity Schools Partnership is a forward-thinking Academy trust of 32 schools (18 primary). This role is perfect for a teacher with a keen interest in making a difference to the lives of children with SEND who deserves the support, CPD and career development on offer. In return we expect you to stop at nothing to ensure our pupils achieve results plus and to make remarkable change happen! The trust expects its work to be characterised by ethical leadership, an ambition for improvement at pace and the expectation that remarkable improvements can be achieved.
Unity Schools Partnership is committed to safer recruitment, equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
