What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently seeking a Specialist Resource Provision Lead Teacher to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator with at least six years of teaching experience who is passionate about leading and developing specialist provision within the school. The successful candidate will work with the pupils in the SRP and play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored educational opportunities that promote their academic and personal growth and ensure all pupils make progress in line with national expectations and individual Educational Health Care Plan outcomes.Skills and Qualifications:- Minimum of 6 years’ teaching experience, preferably including work within special educational needs (SEN) or specialist resource provisions- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams or leading initiatives- Excellent knowledge of SEN legislation, assessment frameworks, and best practices- Ability to develop personalised learning plans and adapt curriculum delivery accordingly- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with staff, parents, external agencies, and students- Competence in data analysis to monitor student progress and inform interventions Values and Attitudes:- Commitment to inclusion, equity, and promoting positive outcomes for all learners- Empathy, patience, and understanding towards children with diverse needs- Proactive approach to problem-solving with resilience in challenging situations- Collaborative mindset valuing teamwork across departments - Dedication to continuous professional development for self and others - Passionate about creating a supportive environment where every student feels valuedIf you are ready to take on this rewarding leadership opportunity at Mayville Academy by championing excellence in specialist provision please apply now.
