Specialist Resource Provision Teacher

SEN Allowance £2,679.00
Required from September 2025
This is an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity for a skilled, dedicated and compassionate teacher who is ready to be part of a fantastic team. Myton Gardens is a brand-new primary school in Warwick. The first cohort of Reception children have been educated this year at Oakley School whilst the state-of-the-art primary school is built in the new community on Fusiliers Way.
We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to work within our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for pupils with complex Communication and Interaction needs. This provision is an LA designated provision, and all pupils will have an EHCP. The class will eventually take up to 14 pupils as the school grows in size.
The SRP will open in September 2025, in a brand-new facility, with only Reception and Year 1 age children, to reflect the ages of our mainstream cohort. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced SEND teacher to develop our provision within Myton Gardens. We welcome innovative and exciting ideas and expertise to help develop and build our new provision.
Myton Gardens is a warm and welcoming school, in its very early stages of growth and development, and we are looking for a new member of our team who is committed to professional development, working closely with colleagues and putting children and families at the centre of everything they do.
We are looking for skilled teacher with:
• Proven skills of teaching pupils with special educational needs and of delivering a personalised curriculum either in special school or mainstream
• Understanding of teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children with some successful abilities in coordinating and managing staff
• Knowledge of, or skills in using specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECS, SCERTS, Gestalt Language processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with children, staff and parents
• A commitment and passion for inclusive education along with the ability to use multiple strategies to maximise achievement and effectively manage a variety of challenging behaviours
The post holder will:
· Take responsibility for teaching and learning in our Specialist Resourced Provision, working closely with the SENDCo, Curriculum Lead and other colleagues
· Be an exemplary practitioner in teaching children with a wide range of SEND
· Be part of the SEND team within school and take an active part in developing whole school SEND provision for high needs children.
The successful candidate will work closely with hard working and dedicated colleagues to 'Grow Minds and Nurture Futures' of the children in our care. Being part of the Stowe Valley MAT will enable excellent CPD opportunities and develop a sense of belonging to a successful and professional organisation.
Visits to meet the Director of Inclusion for the MAT, Jen James, are invited and encouraged, giving an opportunity to find out more about the role and the school. Please email mytongardens@stowevalley.com if you would like to visit.
All applications are made via our online platform and can be found on the Vacancies section of the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust website www.stowevalleymat.com
