What skills and experience we're looking for
We are hoping to create an exciting new post to cover some of our teachers’ non-contact/PPA time by providing specialist whole-class teaching.
The successful applicant will be timetabled to work in different classes across the school, teaching the specialist subject of their choice. Please make clear on your application whether you would like to offer French or music or art and DT. This is for 5- 6 hours a week which could be one day a week or split over two (or possibly three) afternoons
This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for a particular subject to teach what they love and really make a difference to children’s experience in this area of the curriculum.
You might be could be an experienced qualified teacher or someone who has expertise in their subject but is not a qualified teacher. You would need to have experience working with large groups of children and be excellent at behaviour management and at quickly building positive relationships.
We would want you to use our excellent CUSP curriculum as a basis for your lessons, but to bring your expertise to it.
