Could you help shape the future of inclusion at St Martin’s?
This is an exceptional opportunity to join St Martin’s C of E Primary School at an exciting point in our journey.
Following the successful securing of additional funding, we are establishing an innovative new inclusion provision designed to enable children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and other pupils with additional needs, to flourish within mainstream education.
At St Martin’s, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to belong, participate and succeed within their mainstream school community. Our new inclusion provision has been created to provide personalised support that removes barriers to learning, develops confidence and resilience, and equips children with the skills they need to thrive alongside their peers.
We are seeking an outstanding teacher with a passion for inclusion who wants to play a leading role in developing this provision from the very beginning. Working alongside our experienced SEND team and a dedicated Specialist Learning Support Assistant, you will help create a nurturing, ambitious and flexible environment where children develop the confidence, skills and resilience they need to succeed in school.
This is far more than an intervention role. It is an opportunity to influence whole-school inclusive practice, work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals, and make a lasting difference to the lives of some of our most vulnerable children.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of inclusive teaching.
• Has experience of supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with communication, interaction, social, emotional or regulation needs.
• Believes every child can thrive with the right support, high expectations and positive relationships.
• Can design creative, personalised learning opportunities that remove barriers to learning.
• Enjoys working collaboratively with families, colleagues and external agencies.
• Is reflective, organised and committed to evaluating the impact of their work.
• Has the enthusiasm and resilience to help establish an exciting new provision from the ground up.
• Wants to contribute to wider school improvement and continue developing professionally.
In return, we can offer:
• The opportunity to shape an exciting new inclusion provision from its inception.
• Highly motivated children who enjoy learning.
• A welcoming, supportive and ambitious staff team.
• Excellent professional development opportunities through our Multi Academy Trust.
• Dedicated leadership support and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing.
• Well-resourced learning environments and extensive school grounds.
• A school where inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do.
• Opportunities to develop leadership responsibilities over time.
At St Martin’s C of E Primary School, we are committed to inspiring every child to be the best they can be. We believe that great schools are built on kindness, ambition and high expectations, and we are looking for someone who shares those values.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. We would be delighted to meet you and show you what makes St Martin’s such a special place to work.
