Specialist Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant, to work as part of a curriculum department to provide specialist support in Maths, English, dyslexia, EAL and any other necessary intervention with students who require additional mentoring to achieve their GCSEs and to work with other small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 as required in the classroom or in virtual learning environments.
The successful candidate must have Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or equivalent and meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience, and possess strong IT skills, be a good communicator, approachable and have a positive attitude towards staff and students.
