What skills and experience we're looking for
An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Sports Centre Duty Officer/Caretaker at the school to join our small team. We are ideally looking for someone interested in working flexibly for approximately 14 hours per week to include one Saturday in every three weeks on a rota basis. There will also be a need to cover other days when staff are on leave.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing on-site support at the Sports Centre for our lets. The Centre is open between 4:30pm – 10.15pm weekdays and approximately 10:00am – 4:30pm Saturday throughout the year.
You will be on site and work alongside another Duty Officer providing supervision and security for the community use of the school. Duties to include: opening and locking of the buildings for community activities as directed; locking up of the Johnson site of the school; provide on-site security; help with the setting up and clearing away of furniture/equipment (including exam desks); ensure that correct procedures are adopted in the event of an emergency; general maintenance, undertaking any site cleaning and housekeeping duties of the building. There may also be occasions when you would be assisting with work across other school buildings. In addition, you may be called upon to support the school with supervision at Parents evenings or locking up after lets.
