Sports Centre Manager job summary

Purpose of the Role

The post holder is responsible for the management of sports centre, including staffing, budgets, health & safety, customer satisfaction and income generation. In addition the post holder is expected to build positive relationships with key stakeholders and actively manage a number of events on an annual basis.

The post holder is responsible for:

The management and effective operation of the sports centre facilities and departments including Sports, Swimming, Fitness, Membership, and events management.

Ensuring all legal, equipment servicing and Health and Safety requirements are met for running the facility and opening to members of the public

Maximising the income of the sports centre including marketing, swimming pool use, gym membership, sports hire, fitness classes and events.

Line management of all sports centre staff.

Promoting and enhancing the health and wellbeing of communities through sports, exercise and fitness

Developing business plans for future sports centre development to increase revenue.

Managing current centre resources, staffing, and applying for external funding, to bring forward future projects to improve the centre/school facilities
