Staff Administrator job summary
Key responsibilities as the Staff Administrator of the School Administration Team
To greet all visitors to the school in a professional manner ensuring that safeguarding
requirements are complied with.
Checking and responding to emails regarding staff / recruitment enquiries in a timely manner.
To respond to reception and visitor enquiries and all stakeholders as required
Undertake word-processing and IT based tasks including operation of relevant equipment and
ICT packages such as Microsoft Office Suite
Arranging refreshments as and when required for visitors
To take on specific tasks related to the day-to-day administration and organisation of the school
as requested by the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
Organise arrangements for school visits and events
Preparing interview packs for candidates
Welcoming candidates and ensuring the correct paperwork is seen and completed
Applying for references for candidates
Logging applications
Logging staff absences
Running reports from InVentry
Ensuring staff training records are kept up to date
Issuing new staff with the necessary equipment and IT access
Ensuring that all required new staff data is added to Arbor and records are kept updated
Assist in the preparation of the Workforce Census
Overseeing all staff uniform enquiries
Keeping both the staff paper and electronic files up to date by scanning in any relevant
documentation
Ensuring that the main office and the filing room at the back of the office are always kept tidy and
clear of unnecessary items.
Checking that the office walkie talkies and iPads are fully charged every day
