Student Mentor job summary

Main purpose 

Woodeaton Manor School is a secondary provision for pupils aged 11-16, who have social and 

emotional difficulties including high functioning autism.

Our pupils follow the KS3/4 national curriculum, working towards the attainment of GCSE's within a 

therapeutic and nurturing environment.

Our staff are committed to providing educational experiences which are founded upon equal

We are looking for passionate, proactive, and dedicated Student Mentors who are dedicated to 

improving learning opportunities for children and young people.

• You have good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills (GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and 

Math’s is desirable)

• You have the ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and 

complex needs

• You are a team player who can build good working relationships with colleagues

• You are flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient, with a good sense of humour

• You are committed to ongoing personal development

• You have high aspirations in teaching and learning for all children and young people
