We are seeking a Student Pastoral Officer to join the Student Services Team at our state-of-the-art academy in Deal. The successful candidate will support in promoting positive attitudes from students and families towards education, ensuring students benefit fully from the opportunities available to them.
The Student Pastoral Officer will support students to help address any pastoral or behavioural needs of students who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work with students, parents, staff and other agencies to bring about improved behaviour and attendance at school.
Our Student Pastoral Officer will;
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Undertaking First Aid training.
- Work with identified vulnerable students.
- Provide on call support to teaching staff.
- Oversee and carry out daily uniform and equipment checks.
