Student Reduced Hours Provision Co-ordinator job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Reduced Hours Provision Coordinator with the right combination of people skills and empathy, who is confident and well organised such that they can lead the organisation of our in-house Reduced Hours Provision facility called JET.

You will be required to work 32.5 hours per week (8.15am-3.15pm Monday - Friday), term time only (39 weeks per year).

JET provides a calm, quiet classroom space which contains individual student PCs, a teaching space, a separate Learning Support 1:1 intervention room and a staff working space. The JET co-ordinator will be responsible for leading and organising this space. They will work directly with students referred to this provision to help them gain confidence, knowledge and skills to re-join the mainstream school lessons having not been able to previously attend a full school timetable, or who may have been avoiding school for any number of reasons.

JET is a branch of our Learning Support department and as such is supported by that team as well as SLT, Pastoral and Well-being staff to plan and co-ordinate work to engage the student back in to school from their own personal starting point.
