Student Services Manager job summary

About the role: The Leigh Academy Blackheath community are seeking to appoint a caring, personable and compassionate individual to join our team in the role of Student Services Manager. The successful candidate will be joining an established team who work closely together to ensure we deliver first-rate pastoral care for all our students. Responsible for managing the social, moral and spiritual well-being of the students across all of our three college communities (in line with the Every Child Matters Agenda), our successful candidate will liaise with parents, carers and outside agencies as required, therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A background in positive behaviour management, experience of using restorative justice practice and an understanding of external agencies and the local authority fair access panel would be desirable but not essential. We are also looking for an individual that has knowledge and understanding of working with disadvantaged pupils.

This is a permanent position, 37 hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week of inset which offers an actual salary of £21,068 per annum (FTE £24,966).
