Location: Kingstone High School, Kingstone, Herefordshire

Post: Student Support and Engagement Coordinator

Contract: Fixed Term for two years in the first instance.

Hours: 37 hours per week 39 weeks of the year (term time only plus 5 INSET days).

Grade: HC6 SCP 11 - 19

Start Date: September 2025

Kingstone High School is a small high school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our team in a new role. The Student Support and Engagement Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the behaviour and engagement of students across the school. The Student Support & Engagement Coordinator will respond to classroom incidents as part of the on-call system, work proactively with students to overcome barriers to learning, and contribute to wider strategies that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work flexibly and effectively independently and as part of a team; ideally have experience of working with children/young people and families in overcoming barriers to engagement and learning and model and promote high expectations, empathy, and restorative practice. .

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive staff team, in a school that works tirelessly to produce confident, self-assured and successful young people. We do everything we can to ensure every single student gets the best possible start.

Training will be provided. We would endeavour to upskill the successful candidate through broadening their professional development, including any training required.

The ability to communicate appropriately and relate well with young people and adults is essential. Excellent numeracy, literacy skills and I.C.T. skills sufficient to advance students' learning are necessary for this position.
