Student Support Mentor job summary
Hours: 37 hours per week 8.15am - 4.15pm (Monday - Thursday) and 8.30-4pm (Friday) - Term Time Only
Temporary position until August 2027 with the potential to become permanent
The role is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled, enthusiastic and committed team to deliver high quality and effective pastoral care. You will work in our “Base” area alongside other pastoral staff. You will support the work of Progress Leaders; support students who are unwell or struggling to attend lessons; and carry out an initial response and investigation for any incidents which occur, before escalating these to more senior staff if necessary. You will also help supervise the Reset room and our on-site specialist provisions. You will communicate with parents, colleagues and other professionals as necessary to support students. You will be a keyworker for identified students and work with them to improve attendance, Behaviour, or engagement with school.
