What the school offers its staff
We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a Student Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to have a key role in working as part of a successful pastoral team supporting students at Humphry Davy School. As a central part of the Student Support team you will be expected to form positive relationships with all stakeholders of the school in supporting our young people to overcome any barriers to learning on a personal and academic level. This is a varied and fulfilling role which will help shape our students to be confident and happy individuals, ready to take on the challenges that life throws at them.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our school in beautiful West Cornwall, committed to ensuring the highest quality of education for all our students. Ofsted (Short Inspection November 2016) judged the school as ‘good’ and stated, “Across the school we found that pupils were very keen to learn. Pupils we spoke with enjoy coming to school and feel that they are making good progress. Pupils are well-mannered and keen to tell visitors how good the school is and how it keeps them safe”. A more recent visit in July 2022 by the LA education effectiveness team highlighted how staff create a positive atmosphere and inclusive ethos, leading to all students having a sense of belonging to the Humphry Davy Community.
