Student Support Worker job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Student Support Worker to work as a key member of our experienced Student Support Team to:

  • Support students attending the school to overcome barriers to success;
  • Support individual students by addressing issues associated with behaviour to enable them to engage fully and maximise opportunities for personal development and educational achievement.

Please see the Job Description for details of the main duties of this post. The successful candidate will have the following key skills and abilities:

  • Ability to help students manage their own behaviour;
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and consistent relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and other professionals;
  • Understanding of how to identify and provide opportunities for students to achieve their very best;
  • Ability to confidently give and maintain clear boundaries;
  • Ability to offer emotional support.

The post is for 4 days a week working a total of 26 hours per week, from 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only (39 weeks a year).
