As a result of existing post holder retiring, we are looking to appoint a subject leader and enthusiast to our high achieving team who want to work in a school where:
• computer science and Business are valued by students and families;
• academy’s results have been significantly above national averages for many years;
• computer science subject progress index score is significantly above average at +1.18, with Business at +0.44;
• students routinely enter computer science national competitions and win;
• there is a strong academic ethos and high expectations of students;
• behaviour management is centralised and teachers are enabled to flourish.
The successful candidates will teach Computer Science throughout the age range 7-11, as well as Business Studies at GCSE. The academy is well placed to offer a comprehensive support package to NQTs from all routes into teaching, including PGCE, SCITT and Schools Direct.
Both new and established teachers will be supported and encouraged to develop their practice by engaging in the numerous opportunities to collaborate share ideas with colleagues within our Professional Learning programme.
