What skills and experience we're looking for

Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar, Alford are looking to appoint a Subject Leader for History.

Ideally, we are looking for a colleague who is:

  • A qualified teacher and outstanding practitioner.
  • A talented and dynamic teacher who can teach KS3, KS4 & KS5.
  • Energetic and can inspire and motivate students.
  • Keen to join a successful and collaborative department with good resources.
  • Experienced in leading a department.

The History department attains excellent results and is experienced and supportive. It currently comprises a subject leader and 1 part-time teacher. At GCSE students follow the Edexcel 1HI0 History syllabus and at A Level the department teaches the Edexcel 9HI01 specification.
