What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you passionate about leading an outstanding Languages department?We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person who will take pride in being part of a team of five Teachers that delivers excellent lessons and instils a love of Languages in keen learners?

Our school heavily invests in languages, all students at KS3 (Y7-Y9) have two lessons per week in both French and German and around 75% of students study at least one Language at GCSE.

This is a permanent,full timerole starting from 1st January 2024

We are part ofOur Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

You will:

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
  • Have previous experience working as a teacher or within a Secondary School setting.
  • Be able to teach French and German to at least GCSE standard.
  • Have good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
  • Have a passion for working with young people.
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
  • Innovative and resourceful teaching methods.
