What skills and experience we're looking for

- An outstanding subject knowledge and its place within the national curriculum

- The ability to teach outstanding lessons

- The ability to communicate how to teach outstanding lessons

- The ability to coach colleagues to improve their standards of Teaching & Learning

- The ability to develop and articulate a clear vision and to motivate both learners and colleagues

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Highly effective time management, organisational and administrative skills

- Ability to generate, organise, analyse data for specific purposes

- Up-to-date knowledge of best pedagogic practice and an understanding of strategies to improve Teaching & Learning

- Familiarity with or understanding of specific subject focused curriculum development initiatives for students aged 11-19

- Advanced ICT skills and an imagination about the future impact of ICT on learning

- Ability to lead and manage high performing teams

- Good Honours Degree, PGCE, QTS

- Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

- Responsibility for planning and managing change within an aspect of school work

- Effective monitoring and evaluation of performance

- Experience in raising student attainment in an aspect of school work

- Experience of developing Teaching & Learning within a chosen subject area
