Subject Teacher: Physics and Mathematics Thomas Whitham Sixth Form, Burnley, Lancashire
Job description
We are seeking to appoint a Physics and Mathematics Teacher, they will be able to deliver our Advanced Level courses as well as our enrichment and extra-curricular programme. A commitment to working with our 11-16 partner colleges in the local area is also expected from all our staff.
Essential educational requirements
Relevant subject specific degree.
Essential qualifications
Subject specific honours degree or equivalent QTS.
Teaching qualification.
Essential skills and experience
Evidence of good classroom practice.
Good understanding of effective and engaging teaching methods.
The ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students.
An understanding of the use of assessment to inform planning.
The ability to plan lessons and sequences of lessons with clear objectives to ensure progression for all students.
