Starting Salary (pro rata): £25,800.60 (FTE £29,996)
Smestow Academy are seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to our pupils by supporting them through challenges and helping them reflect on their behaviour while guiding them towards positive choices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day reflective work and pupil discussions for behaviour to ensure that pupils are adhering to the behaviour policy and demonstrating the expected standards of behaviour in school and assisting with pupil reflection during detentions.
About you:
To be successful for this role you should:
- Have at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths;
- have experienced in working in similar roles and/or worked with pupils who need behaviour support for a minimum of 2
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong IT skills;
- Have the ability to handle highly confidential information.
