Afterschool: 15.20 – 18.00 – Monday to Friday
plus an additional 2 hours per week of planning time

The Sunflower Club at The Coombes CE Primary School in Arborfield, Reading is looking for a happy, enthusiastic and dedicated Club Supervisor who is committed to developing and enhancing our popular before and after-school club. Supported by our Club Manager, this is a wonderful opportunity to manage our supportive team of playworkers and plan activities and experiences that will be truly memorable for children who attend the Club.

🌟 What You’ll Be Doing:

Responsibility for the day to day running of the before and after school club sessions

Purchase healthy snacks and deliver alongside the inhouse club cook

Produce daily registers and manage safe and secure ‘sign in/sign out’ process each day, always communicating effectively with school staff and parents to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the club

Planning and leading a wide range of fun, safe, and engaging activities, from multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play, for children aged 4–11

To manage and lead by example, setting high standards for a small, supportive team of playworkers, ensuring there is adequate supervision and positive outcomes always for all children attending the club

Creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels happy and supported

💡 What we’re Looking For:

Someone who is easily approachable, inspirational and with a genuine love of working with children

Great organisational, communication skills and interpersonal skills

A responsible leader to follow protocols and policies, implementing these with team members

Experience in a childcare, playworker or school setting (desirable but not essential)

A proactive, can-do attitude and a sense of fun!
