Salary: Band D Point 20-25

(£30,544.50 - £34,667.16 per annum depending on experience)

37 hours per week

8:00am – 4:00pm (Monday-Thursday) 8:00am – 3:30pm (Friday)

with a 30 minute lunch break

41 weeks of the year – term time, plus inset days plus 3 additional weeks to be worked during school closure.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the welcoming and supportive office team at Bonnygate Primary School. We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Support Manager to take on the dual role of PA to the Headteacher and Office Manager. This part-time position is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of administrative and clerical support across the school.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate patience and show a commitment to supporting the school office. This role would be suited to someone enthusiastic, personable, empathetic and able to communicate effectively, whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner, under pressure. Previous school experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

The position will involve:

  • Providing personal assistance to the Headteacher, minute meetings, managing appointments, diaries and contacts
  • Ensuring the provision of an effective administrative and clerical support to the school
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day management of the administration and data function
  • Line managing three members of staff at the school
  • Assisting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team by using data to provide school improvement information and be responsible for the setting up of systems within the school
  • Championing and overseeing GDPR across the school
  • Being the HR and finance link for the Osborne Trust
  • Overseeing the website and policy compliance
  • Supporting health and safety in the school

The successful candidate will:

  • Be great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
  • Have excellent written skills with the ability to multitask
  • Be able to remain calm under pressure and remain positive
  • Be able to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare
  • Have GCSE Maths and English (grade 4-9 or equivalent)
  • Be proficient in office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ideally SIMS
