We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Support Officer to join our school. Bonnygate Primary School is a member of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. All schools in the Trust work in equal partnership and are members of the Schools’ Co-operative Society.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and dedicated Support Officer, with school experience, who will be the link to the Trust HR and Trust Finance Teams to ensure provision of an effective administrative and clerical support to the school.
The successful candidate’s duties will include:
- To provide administrative support to the school, always ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Supporting in the administration of personnel paperwork and be the HR link for the school.
- Being the Finance link for the school, working in liaison with Trust Finance team.
- To be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and take messages where appropriate.
- To complete weekly returns for school meals, free school meals, ‘cool milk’ and the fruit and vegetable calendar.
- To assist in the reporting of student absences and school meals in the absence of colleagues
- To be responsible for the organisation of school trips and visits in liaison with school staff, external companies and parents.
The successful candidate will
- Have previous school admin experience
- Have HR or Finance experience
- Be passionate, creative, motivated and has a positive outlook
- Be keen to support pupils with learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Be committed to raising outcomes of all students
- Be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude
- Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
- Be dedicated to good classroom management
- Care about the welfare and achievement of every child
- Be innovative and have a passion for improvement
- Have excellent written skills with the ability to multi-task
- Have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain positive
- The ability to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare
- Have GCSE Maths and English (grade 4-9 or equivalent)
