Lift Sir Herbert Leon Leisure Centre, part of Lift Schools, is looking for a qualified, engaging, and reliable Swim Teacher to join our aquatics team. If you love coaching, motivating others, and creating a fun, safe environment, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Swim Teacher, you will be the driving force behind our swimming programme. You will deliver high-quality, progressive swimming lessons to a diverse range of users, including school groups, children, and adults.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver fun, structured, and inclusive swimming lessons in line with the recognised Swim England (or equivalent) Learn to Swim framework.
* Assess and record the progress of swimmers, providing constructive feedback and celebrating their achievements.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in and around the pool area at all times.
* Set up and dismantle pool equipment safely before and after lessons.
* Maintain excellent communication with parents, schools, and leisure centre staff regarding swimmer progress and safety.
* Uphold strict safeguarding, health & safety, and emergency procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For

* Qualifications: A valid Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification (or STA equivalent).
* Safety: A current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is highly desirable (training can be provided for the right candidate).
* An enthusiastic, patient, and approachable personality with a knack for engaging children and adults alike.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your teaching style to suit different learning needs.
* A reliable team player who is deeply committed to safeguarding and child welfare.
