What skills and experience we're looking for
Do you hold a Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teaching qualification (NPLQ/NRASTC is desirable) The Priory City of Lincoln Academy would like to hear from you! An exciting opportunity has come available for a motivated and passionate Swimming Instructor to join our Junior Learn to Swim Programme within the Sports Centre.
The role would require working on a Wednesday and a Friday evening 4-6.30pm (option to split hours between two Swimming Instructors) alongside other staff members of Junior Learn to Swim and the Sports Centre. There would be options for relief work on other days of Junior Learn to Swim alongside relief work for Primary School swimming lessons during the day.
We would be pleased to hear from applicants with Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teaching qualification and those with a NPLQ/NRASTC.
Role Summary
Responsible for delivery of Stage 4-7 lessons for Improvers, developing aquatic skills, improving technique, assessing ability for badges, coordinating class moves and educating swimmers on Water Safety.
Junior Learn to Swim has members aged 4-16 years (generally aged 6-11 years enrolled currently).
Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teaching qualification is essential NPLQ/NRASTC qualification is desirable, but training can be given.
