Are you an experienced Teacher eager to help shape a brand‑new special needs provision from the ground up and make a lasting difference for its pupils?

Our New Targeted Mainstream Provision

It’s an exciting time at St. Martin’s C of E VA Primary School as our brand-new Targeted Mainstream Provision (TMP) is currently being purpose built!

Our TMP will be an exciting development for North Yorkshire and the Scarborough locality. Our vision is to provide a bespoke educational setting for up to sixteen children with EHCPs within inclusive mainstream settings. This is a unique opportunity to create, support and grow vital provision for our children, with the support of experienced professionals in our school.

The TMP will host 2 classes of 8 children; with 6 children in each class being permanent pupils on roll and 4 others between the two classes being flexi spaces to support children that might need some significant support at the time. Alongside another TMP teaching colleague, you will be supported by teaching assistants within the TMP setting to deliver a unique teaching and learning experience. There will also be the opportunity to support and guide wider professional development and practice around school as well.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher for our Targeted Mainstream Provision. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an exciting new phase, becoming a key champion for inclusive education for all our children.

You will collaborate closely with our Head Teacher and SENDCo, who will provide ongoing support.

You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • The ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and develop attitudes of care, control and cooperation with a range of pupils with different needs.
  • High expectations of all pupils.
  • Experience of working positively and closely with staff, parents and guardians.
