Mead Vale Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reflective primary teacher to join our team on a full-time (1.0 FTE) basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a class teacher who is passionate about inclusive teaching, wellbeing, play-based learning and making a genuine difference to children’s lives. Applications are welcome from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.

The role - as a primary teacher/class teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across the National Curriculum
  • Meet the learning and developmental needs of every child in your class
  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Use assessment to track progress and inform teaching
  • Manage behaviour effectively to support positive learning outcomes
  • Contribute to EHCPs, reviews and working with external agencies where required
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
  • Take responsibility for your class and contribute to whole‑school improvement
  • Actively promote safeguarding, wellbeing and equality
