What skills and experience we're looking for

At Redlands we are on a mission to make our school the best it can possibly be. We have been on a journey of rapid improvement and we continue to strive for excellence each and every day. Our school motto ‘Proud to be Redlands; Proud to be me’ is a shortened version of our school vision statement and is woven into everything we do – we all work hard and support each other to make ourselves proud so that together we can be proud of our school. We have a wonderful school community and the most fantastic, enthusiastic and positive children we could wish for. Our children really do deserve the best so if you believe you have what it takes to make your classroom a place where children can thrive and become the very best versions of themselves then we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated teacher who is passionate about education and has a good understanding of best practice in primary teaching. This role would be ideally suited to someone with experience of successful teaching in primary schools but we also welcome applications from high performing Early Career Teachers who feel that they would make a positive contribution to our school.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher who is able to offer the following:

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A secure knowledge and understanding of primary education
  • The ability to create a happy and inclusive learning environment
  • High aspirations for each and every child
  • The ability to form good working relationships and collaborate well with others
  • A commitment to putting our children at the heart of everything you do

What the school offers its staff

Redlands is a happy, inclusive school with a strong family ethos. We are proud to be able to offer the following:

  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic about their learning
  • A friendly staff team who help and support each other
  • An aspirational leadership team who value staff wellbeing
  • Good opportunities for high quality CPD
  • A supportive governing body
  • A well-resourced school building
  • A learning community striving to be the best it can be
  • PPA time which you can choose to take at home or at school

Further details about the role

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed. We recommend that you visit us during the school day so that you can experience our strong family ethos for yourself. However, we realise that this is not always possible and, where this is the case, we are happy to show you around after school or answer any questions you may have over the telephone. Please contact the school to arrange an appointment.

The County Council welcomes applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation for posts within County or Controlled Schools or Colleges.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks.
