Contract: 32.5 hours per week

Peak School is a Nursery to Post 16, special school academy located in the village of Chinley, in the north west corner of Derbyshire. We cater for children and young adults with a wide range of special educational needs, including those with significant learning and communication difficulties.

We are looking to appoint an excellent teacher who is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with SEND. We are looking for a teacher who will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences for pupils with a range of complex needs. The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging and purposeful learning that supports pupils to develop communication, independence and confidence.

Plan and adapt learning carefully so that activities help pupils secure the intended knowledge and skills.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and strengthen our curriculum across all pathways and age phases.

Use assessment effectively to understand pupil progress and inform future learning.

Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work closely with families and other professionals.
