Calling All Teachers Out There!

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to join our OUTSTANDING team!

Billing Brook School recognises that a highly effective, inclusive and cohesive staff team results in great pupil outcomes. It also helps make the school a great place to work in. If you have a positive attitude and a desire to continually develop – look no further – this could be a great job for you.

Billing Brook School is a large, successful special school in Northampton, serving children and young people aged between 4 and 18. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan. The school caters for a range of complex needs in particular:

 Significant and severe learning difficulties

 Speech, Language and Communication difficulties

In addition, pupils may have an ASD diagnosis. Typically, pupils have a combination of special educational needs.

We are currently seeking to recruit a teacher with strong early years or primary knowledge and skills. In particular, we are looking for someone who:

 Wants to teach a purposeful, meaningful curriculum to help prepare pupils for adulthood.

 Can adapt and adjust their teaching to motivate and engage pupils by being creative and inspiring

 Has a desire to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding relating to SEND

 Has a positive attitude, is resilient and able to keep calm

In return, we offer:

 A friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic team who work hard and support each other

 Children and young people who are keen to learn

 A school determined to support wellbeing and work-life balance

 High quality continual professional development

We do not expect teachers to come to school knowing “everything there is to know” about SEND, however previous experience would be an advantage.

What next? If you are interested in the position, please do not hesitate to contact the Headteacher, Karen Lewis via email: head@bbrook.co.uk to find out more about this great opportunity.
