is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher in Inclusive Pathways-SEND & Pastoral Support to join our Inclusive Learning team. This rewarding role combines teaching, pastoral support and learner development, helping students overcome barriers to learning while achieving positive outcomes both academically and personally.
About the Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with additional learning needs, providing outstanding pastoral support and guidance throughout their learning journey. Working across both Peterlee and Houghall campuses, you will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, learner progress, safeguarding, and engagement with parents, carers and external agencies.
You will:
- Deliver engaging andinclusiveteaching sessions.
- Provide pastoralsupportand promote learner wellbeing.
- Supportstudents with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in learner recruitment events, reviews and quality improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external stakeholders to secure the best outcomes for learners.
About You
We are looking for a professional andcompassionateindividualwho has:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience teaching learners aged 14-19+.
- Experience working with students with learning difficulties and providing pastoralsupport.
- Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
- Acommitmentto safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- The ability to inspire, motivate andsupportlearners to achieve success.
