Teacher job summary

Are you looking for a teaching role in a school where children are inspired to fulfil their potential and where you can work with the support of reflective and dedicated colleagues who will enable you to thrive?

We are looking for an inspirational Teacher to join Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School from January 2024 (or earlier if preferred).

At Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School, we provide our children with a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum. We strive to provide a sense of awe and wonder that instils a thirst for learning. Embedded throughout the curriculum are enrichment opportunities to make learning memorable through hooks for learning and a variety of visits and visitors. We have a bespoke curriculum, with strong community links that underpin the ethos of the school and develops pupils’ moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding well. We work together as a team and prioritise staff development in order to ensure our children have the best learning experiences possible.

As our ideal candidate, it goes without saying, you will meet the expectations set out in the Teachers Standards or you have the potential to do so as an Early Career Teacher.  You will understand the need and be able to demonstrate how you would deliver a diverse and inclusive curriculum which is underpinned by strong global roots.  We place great value on the importance of building effective relationships; therefore, you should be able to demonstrate how you do so with pupils, parents, and colleagues.  Most importantly, you will have a proven track record of inspiring pupils to learn and succeed.  You will be committed to and demonstrate how you provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported to achieve and flourish.

What we can offer you

In the ever-changing landscape of education and the expectations that come with this, we place great emphasis on supporting our colleagues to ensure they have the tools to deliver the best experience they can for our children through providing:

  • A school where well-being and the contribution you make is highly valued and people enjoy coming to work.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment, where you will be encouraged to share your ideas and contribute to the ongoing development of our curriculum and school community.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities as well as the support of a dedicated leadership team who are inspiring and committed to helping you achieve your full potential.
  • Being part of the Ryedale Learning Trust means that as we continue to grow, there are greater opportunities for you to make your mark, succeed and develop your career with us.

But perhaps the most compelling reason to join our school is our fantastic pupils and families, who are the schools’ greatest asset.  The children are motivated, engaged and eager to learn, and they will inspire you to be the best teacher you can be!
