What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors, Staff and Pupils of Salehurst CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and inspirational Key Stage 2 Teacher from September 2025 for 5 days per week. We welcome visits to our school to meet our wonderful children who reflect our school ethos of 'Let all that you do be done in Love' – 1 Corinthians – 16:14.

We would like to find a Teacher to join our supportive team who:

  • is a caring and supportive person who has the needs of our children at the heart of all they do.
  • has high expectations and strong behaviour management skills.
  • is a strong, inclusive classroom practitioner that is committed to inspiring and motivating pupils of all abilities.
  • has excellent curriculum knowledge and experience in planning and delivering a high quality curriculum.
  • has enthusiasm and aspiration to plan and deliver high quality, sequential learning with the right degree of challenge.
  • is a good team player with strong communication and interaction skills.
  • is somebody with an understanding of the joys and flexibilities needed to work in a small school.
  • is a positive person who looks to extend our children's horizons for a better future.
  • is enthusiastic about parental and wider community links and can build positive relationships with our families.
  • has the necessary skills to take on subject leadership, if appropriate.
