Pelton Primary School is a welcoming and successful primary school at the heart of its community. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly effective Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join our supportive team on a maternity cover contract from January 2027 until July 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a caring and ambitious school where children are enthusiastic learners, relationships are at the centre of everything we do and staff work collaboratively to ensure every child achieves their full potential. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about education, has high expectations for all pupils and can inspire a love of learning through engaging and creative teaching across Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong curriculum knowledge, high standards of behaviour management and a commitment to raising achievement for all children. They will be able to work effectively as part of a team, build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
