SMSJ is seeking to recruit a teacher of A Level Business Studies to join our successful, popular and expertly led Business Studies and Economics team. At SMSJ Business Studies is a highly popular and successful KS4 and KS5 options choice. We are looking to appoint a dynamic teacher, who has excellent knowledge of the subject and who will be able to contribute to the excellent standard of progress and achievement in the department. The successful candidate would be expected to teach Business Studies A Level as well as having the opportunity to teach Economics if suitably qualified.

This post is suitable for an experienced practitioner as well an ECT, for whom excellent support would be available.

We are looking for someone who:

• Be passionate about teaching Business Studies
• Have the ability to inspire students to study the subject through to degree level
• Support and help develop outstanding opportunities for students in Business Studies
• Enjoy working as part of a team and have the capacity to deliver high quality lessons
• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements of A Level Business Studies
• Leads activities beyond the classroom to excite and engage all students

In addition to meeting the Teachers’ Standards, you are expected to:

• Be responsible for the educational progress of students
• Support and help the vision across the department
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in the subject
• Teach Business Studies at A Level
