What skills and experience we're looking for
Mathematics and Further Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in Key Stage 5 to achieve highly in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. This opportunity is open to Early Career Teachers and to more experienced colleagues.
Potential applicants should be:
either
•a trainee teacher who is successfully completing placement(s) teaching in KS3, 4 or 5 (applicants currently in training)
or
•a colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more of KS3, 4 or 5 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).
Applicants should have:
•A strong honours degree in Mathematics, or in a subject containing a considerable amount of Pure Mathematics.
•Passionate commitment to the power of education to ‘change the deal’ for disadvantaged students.
•A detailed knowledge of current developments in education, including the effective use of the Pupil Premium and/or the 16-19 Bursary Award.
•The ability to put vision into practice
