What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of art and design technology as part of our school teaching team. Applications are welcome from all specialisms however the ability to teach graphic design and/or textiles would be welcome. There is potential for the right candidate to move into a middle leadership position.
The teacher of art and design technology will be accountable for: Planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate would teach art and design technology to key stage 3, 4 and potentially to key stage 5 and be expected to engage in extra-curricular activity as required.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
- Commitment to improving student learning and raising achievement
- Enthusiasm to inspire in students a desire to learn and participate
- Honours Degree
- DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
The post is full-time and permanent, to begin in either Easter or September 2026 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers.
