Teacher of Art and Photography job summary
The Kingston Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Art and Photography to join our vibrant team. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to explore ideas, experiment with a range of media and develop their creativity, confidence and visual understanding. We are especially interested in hearing from colleagues who can offer expertise in photography, creative media and or 3D design.
Art and Design plays a distinctive role in the school curriculum, encouraging students to interpret and understand the world through visual communication while developing personal expression and independent enquiry. Students engage in stimulating and challenging creative tasks within a supportive environment that promotes experimentation with techniques, investigation of ideas and the realisation of artistic intentions through practical work.
Working collaboratively within the department, you will contribute to curriculum planning, effective assessment and enrichment opportunities that showcase and celebrate students' creative achievements.
