Teacher of Art (Maternity Cover) job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Art Teacher who has a clear understanding of how individuals absorb information and is dedicated to delivering knowledge that will provide our students with a better understanding of the world around them. Of course you will have a passion for art and through this, you will also know how to make your lessons exciting to inspire our students in the study of this important subject.

We can offer you the opportunity to deliver a dynamic curriculum within our ambitious Geography department that achieves exceptional outcomes from all year groups. Whatever your career stage, you will be supported to develop well-structured learning programmes and to enhance your teaching tool kit, so that our students are able to excel in Art. We welcome applications from all teachers including ECTs.

Our Head of Expressive Arts would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.

As Teacher of Art, you will be welcomed into an experienced team of professionals to:

  • Progress the Art department to even greater successes
  • Plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons that will challenge and inspire our students
  • Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour
  • Engage students in study at GCSE Level (A-Level is desirable)
  • Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
