What skills and experience we're looking for
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Art to cover the maternity leave of one of our existing teachers.
The position will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Joining a high performing team, who deliver interesting and engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4 in our modern & purpose-built Art Department.
- Carrying out the functions of a teacher in accordance with the Teacher Standards and the stated aims and objectives of The Stanway School and the Department.
- To strive for the highest standards of pupil achievement within Art, monitoring and evaluating pupil achievement and setting targets for improvement.
- Contributing to the current provision of extra-curricular clubs and or trips.

We're looking for you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A degree in the specialist subject
- The ability to teach “outstanding” lessons
- Experience of supporting staff and students in maintaining high standards
