What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Art and Photography for a one year contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a supportive team, aided by high quality facilities and resources.

The successful applicant will:

  • share the College’s very high expectations;
  • be, or have the potential to become, an exceptional and innovative classroom practitioner who is able to teach Art & Photography at Key Stages 3, 4 and, preferably, 5;
  • be passionate about the important of extra-curricular activities and committed to supporting the College’s extra-curricular programme;
  • be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents;
  • use excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical understanding to support the ongoing development of a high quality curriculum and ensure its successful delivery;
  • be enthusiastic about giving young people the best possible start in life.
  • Have a sense of humour and good interpersonal and communication skills
