What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will teach Science at Key Stage 3 and, preferably, GCSE Biology. You will join an outstanding team of teachers who have already driven significant improvements in recent years. The Science team are well placed to ensure successful outcomes for all students in GCSE and A-Level qualifications and this will be an exciting opportunity for you to play a role in helping them to achieve this.

There may the opportunity for a candidate with suitable experience to teach in the Sixth Form. This post is suitable for experienced candidates who are looking to work with an outstanding team, or for Early Career Teachers. As a lead partner in the East Midlands Teacher Training Partnership, and an early adopter of the Early Career Framework, we are well placed to support teachers at the start of their career.

You will be an integral part of the Science team and you will be working with a team of professionals who have an excellent track record of success and focus relentlessly on ensuring that students enjoy learning and make outstanding progress. As part of East Midlands Education Trust there will also be the opportunity for you to learn from the very best and prepare you for the next stage of your career. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
