Teacher of Boys PE job summary

Bishop Milner Catholic College is seeking a committed and professional Teacher of Boys’ Physical Education to join our dedicated PE department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a thriving and ambitious school community rooted in Catholic values, where the development of the whole child—academically, physically, and spiritually—is central to our mission.

The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality PE provision for boys across a range of year groups, ensuring that lessons are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the College’s commitment to excellence. You will play a key role in promoting participation, resilience, and a strong sense of sportsmanship, while supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

In addition to delivering the curriculum, you will contribute to the College’s extensive extracurricular sports programme, including the coaching of school teams and the organisation of fixtures and events. You will uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and professionalism, and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the continued development of the PE department.

This position requires a strong commitment to fostering positive attitudes towards physical activity and encouraging pupils to lead healthy, active lifestyles in line with the ethos and expectations of Bishop Milner Catholic College.

Visits to the college are welcomed and can be arranged via the school reception.
