We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed Teacher of Business and Computing to join our fantastic team at CHS South.
CHS South is an 11–16, eight-form entry, mixed comprehensive school which opened in 2018 in conjunction with Chorlton High School. Our state-of-the-art building opened in September 2021 and serves 1200 students. In our first Ofsted inspection in January 2023, we were graded Good in all areas.

The Role
The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.The post holder will meet the Professional Standards for Teachers appropriate to their career stage and exercise professional judgement in carrying out their duties collaboratively.
The key purpose of the role is to secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Business and Computing,ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leaders,and ultimately the Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons acrossBusiness and Computing
- Contribute to the development of an ambitiousBusiness and Computing curriculum
- Assess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventions
- Work collaboratively within theBusiness and Computing team to support the school’s vision
- Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise
- Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities
- Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners

CHS South was opened in September 2018 to allow more young people in our community to access the successful model developed at our oversubscribed sister school, Chorlton High School. This model ensures we provide an education built on the values of offering every young person we encounter the skills needed to craft a creative, happy & successful future.
