Teacher of Business Studies job summary
Required from January 2022. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of Business Studies, who has a commitment to developing good teaching and learning practices, leading to excellent student progress.
Business Studies and Economics are both extremely popular in KS4 and in our outstanding Sixth Form. In partnership with the Peter Jones Foundation, the school launched an International Enterprise Academy in September 2021. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to this exciting initiative. This is an exciting time to join an experienced team who have real ambition for these subjects.
The department teach a wide range of Business courses, including GCSE, A Level, Applied General A Level and International Baccalaureate Standard level, in addition to the LIBF Financial Studies Level 3 course.
2021 results were ALPS 3 for GCSE Business, ALPS 6 for Applied General Business and ALPS 4 for LIBF Financial Studies.
This would be an attractive opportunity for a new entrant to the profession, although equally attractive to a more experienced colleague. We have a positive commitment to supporting Newly Qualified teachers and a comprehensive staff development programme.
